Toy shopping at the drug store

Works-for-Me WednesdayI love CVS. I have great luck finding things in their clearance section, and I usually have a coupon from their ExtraCare program to make my find even cheaper. Yesterday I went to CVS to pick up some pull-ups for the boy, and I came home with:

  • two packs of pull-ups (buy one, get one 50% off).
  • a refill for our bathroom wipes.
  • two candy bars (two for $1).
  • three Toy Story toys — Jessie, Woody & Bullseye and a Rex Hot Wheels (all 75% off).
  • On top of the in-store discounts, I had a coupon for $4 off a $20 purchase. I spent a total of $23 and change, and now I have an extra pack of pull-ups on hand and less shopping to do at Christmas.

If you haven’t signed up for the CVS “loyalty” card, I think you should do so. Our CVS has a neat little kiosk where you scan your card and it prints out coupons, and they almost always have something I need (like, um, Toy Story toys or candy bars. Hm…) on clearance.

So! Shopping at CVS: It works for me.

    1. I hit the CVS by work at lunch yesterday for some nailpolish remover and found their kids sunglasses for 50% off ($3.75 each). Stocked up on a few pairs (we never seem to be able to find them when we need them. They had some Toy Story ones too (Buzz and Woody), but my girls are into Jessie.

Why is it so hard to find Jessie toys…I think I’ll head back and check out the toys at lunch today.
