I signed up some time ago to participate in The Paper Crane Project. The woman behind the project is making and sending out 1,000 origami cranes. In return, the cranes’ recipients are supposed to take a picture of their crane, print it and mail it to her. I’m not sure what she plans to do with 1,000 pictures of origami cranes, but I thought it would be fun, so I signed up.
I got my crane in the mail last week. I haven’t had much opportunity to pose the crane, but I did introduce it to Marsha T. Cat a few days ago. Marsha did not appreciate the beautiful paper or the crane’s delicate folds. Marsha is something of a Neanderthal.
