My friend Robin went to the BlogHer conference in New York last weekend, so when I saw that my favorite HGTV babe was going to be there, too, I asked Robin to go cuddle with her for me.
I was kind of joking, but Robin is the least inhibited and most fearless person I know. So of course she found Emily Henderson and chatted her up. And then this shows up in my Twitter stream:

Thank you, Emily Henderson, for the tweet. I’ve never been taunted by a celebrity before. It’s a strange and thrilling feeling.
And thank you, Robin, for spooning with a stranger for me. Your next assignments are:
Go For It, Robin. And have a super fab birthday today, OK?
(I’d bet $5 that she makes at least one of those things happen in the next 12 months.)
Wow, four guys all named Ryan…guess I know who to be on the look out for.
Ryan is the new Jennifer. Ryans everywhere! I thought it was funny. That could be the codeine talking, though.
I am laughing so hard just thinking about picking Seacrest up & swinging him around. (I actually did that a couple days ago to someone. It was so much fun.)
The full story behind the spooning … I saw her at the bed booth, went to check out the bed, lied down on the bed, talked to the rep people, & was lying there… on a vibrating bed when Emily walked over & sat at the foot of the bed. (Maybe she liked my shoes? I don’t know). So, we started talking & I asked her if she wanted to lie down with me & spoon. And then she talked about how someone on twitter had suggested it & then I told her it was you, etc. We talked for awhile. She is wonderful & sweet & funny. I told her that if she ever needed art for her rooms, that I’d be happy to create some. And then she gave me her personal email address. How great is that? I owe it all to you, Nichole. 🙂
I’m pretty sure she recognized that you were awesome. Please invite me to one of your fancy famous people parties when you become a fancy famous person!
All of that? Is awesome. I swear I saw someone who I thought was you this weekend, but, alas, it was not. Glad Robin sent you some fun!
