Moments after I tell Poppy to go put her socks on, she emerges from her room proudly waving a pair of Elmo undies.
Me: Those don’t look like socks.
Pi: Maybe they are Elmos.
Me: Hm.
Pi: Maybe I should keep looking.
Toddler dreams
“Get into bed with Mommy?” Poppy asks when I go in to wake her. She requests this most mornings.
I crawl into bed next to her and ask her the usual. “How did you sleep? Did you have sweet dreams?”
She giggles. Then she says:
Did you see that silly Baby Bear? Baby Bear was flying! He was flying to Bert. Bert was so close! That silly Baby Bear was upside-down and down.
