I’ve been trying to take a cue from professional photographer and natural light fan Season Moore lately. There was some nice light coming into the apartment this afternoon, and Poppy was willing to let me snap some photos. She even took a few herself!

I cropped and edited the photo of Poppy with Picnik, using the “Orton effect” and a little cross-processing. Picnik was a great, online photo-editing service before, and it’s even more impressive now that it’s entirely free. I haven’t found anything that I do on a regular basis with Photoshop that I can’t do with Picnik. If you’d like to play around with your photos, you should definitely check it out.
