Hey, at least she knows you do SOMETHING. If I could ask Wendy that, her answer would probably involve the computer and sitting on the couch.
And yet I cannot tell you how valuable that is, not in words that would render it full measure.

My step daughter made a similar observation one day. She said daddy goes to work and Mandy doesn’t work. I was quick to correct her, two toddlers plus one other child ARE work. I tried to explain that even housework and mothering is work. It is worth recognizing and ackowledging. I think she was only 5, but I haven’t heard her say anything else like that, so some of it got in there.
