Day 4
The kids’ glee over their free cookies at the grocery store.
Finding a great sale on batteries.
Rockford putting my new battery organizer on the wall.
Day 5
The joyful look on Petey’s face when he glances back to see Poppy chasing him.
The kids playing so well together.
The Swedish meatballs being a success.
Day 6
Getting up early enough to have breakfast with Rockford.
Poppy, as we put Pete down for his nap: “Goodnight, Grummy-Oscar. I hope you sleep well in your trash can.”
Helping Poppy write a story about Pooh and his pals. Title: “Pooh and Tigger and Roo are playing.”
A new season of “Biggest Loser.” (Yes, I’m serious.)
