I know things have gotten a little down and dumpy around these parts lately. For a time, I was keeping sort of a gratitude journal — writing down things that made me smile throughout each day, and sharing some of them here. It helped me focus on the good stuff, and I need to get back to it. So I’m following the Whoorl’s lead and hopping on the Grace in Small Things Challenge bandwagon.
- Playing Settlers of Catan with my family. (And winning! For the first time ever! And the second time ever!)
- “That’s what she said” jokes. Thanks to Michael Scott, they never fail to make me laugh.
- Coconut cream pie.
- Pete reaching for something he knew he wasn’t supposed to grab, then turning around and saying, “No no!” He’s a little stinker, I know. But it was terribly cute.
- The look of complete and utter concentration on Rockford’s face when he plays “Rock Band.” When he plays well, it’s followed by a look of glee. It’s one of the best things about the game.
Aha, now I get what’s going down around here! Sinead and I are currently obsessed with The Office. We spent a good part of our holidays going through the first three seasons and I just ordered Season 4 on DVD! Woo hoo!
