The most structured part of our day is from 10am to 12:30pm (or so). We watch “Sesame Street,” then we have art time. After we clean up from that, we have a bit to eat.
Unless the cable is out or we’re out of peanut butter, “Sesame Street” and lunch are no-brainers for me. Art time requires more effort. Some days we just color or play with Play-Doh, but I’m always on the lookout for Art Projects. So when I found a copy of “The Magical Years” for 50 cents at a used bookstore, I grabbed it up and brought it home. (After paying for it, of course.)
We tried our first project from the book today. A chain of paper dolls. Now, I’d never made a chain of paper dolls before. And I still haven’t. Somehow, the chain eludes me. (I can’t figure out snowflakes, either, but I’m not going to worry about that until December.)
While I’m over here trying to cut out these blasted dolls, check out a few of my favorite sources for craft and art project ideas!
