A trip to Home Depot for a garage-door cable yesterday turned into a major project. Dad had some linoleum to put in the bathroom, and he’d been looking for a vanity that wouldn’t take up so much space.
Can you see where this is going?
Justin had picked out a vanity for Dad a few weeks ago, and yesterday it was marked down $100. How can you pass that up? (Answer: You can’t. At least, Dad didn’t.)
So yesterday turned into Bathroom Remodeling Day. Dad and Justin removed two layers of old linoleum, took out the toilet, put in a new subfloor, laid down new linoleum, reinstalled the toilet and put the new vanity in place. They were short a hose (or something. I don’t know.), so we’re currently without water in the bathroom sink. But man, is that a pretty vanity or what?
Rumor has it that I’m going to be painting the wall above the pink tile sometime in the next few weeks. The new linoleum has a little pink and a little blue in it, so I might go with a very light blue. Except then it will look like a baby shower-themed bathroom. So maybe not. I wish I could paint the tile, too.
