The stuff that didn’t fit elsewhere.

Basketball shmashketball

My brother-in-law just called to say, “I didn’t think it was possible to eliminate everyone in your bracket.” To which I say, “Aren’t I just amazing?”

I knew I wouldn’t be holding on to first place for long when my champions were out of the tournament in the first round. I was surprised, though, to see every single one of my Final Four teams drop out of the running.

"About Alice"

I took a nap today right after I put Poppy down for a nap. I woke up about an hour later and came downstairs to start the book I picked up this afternoon at the library. I just finished the book. That’s how short it was: 78 pages.

But there’s a lot in those 78 pages. “About Alice” is a tragedy wrapped in a love story. It’s what Nicholas Sparks* strives to be. And it’s a true story. You should read it. You’ll probably cry.

. . . . .

*My apologies, Amy.

Robbed

I was more excited than I’d care to admit that Boston Rob was back on TV. And tonight, I’m so sad that he and Amber are gone. I can’t believe they’re off “The Amazing Race” so early in the game this time. I can, however, believe that Rob can’t spell. I’m not sure I’ll watch the rest of the show. I don’t really like any of the other teams that much. Especially not Mirna and Charla.
