The entire “Sigh No More” album by Mumford & Sons is great. Many, many of the songs on it make my heart soar and make me want to dance wildly around the room. Particularly: “Roll Away Your Stone” and “Sigh No More.” The fact that Poppy loves the album and sings “The Cave” to herself doesn’t hurt my love for it, either.

1. Pete’s feet
Pete’s feet aren’t chubby little baby feet anymore. They’ve turned long and lean, and they look like miniature versions of Rockford’s feet. It’s bittersweet, but they make me smile.
“I am so filled with cheer”
The kids slept until nearly 8 this morning. Then it was stockings and presents presents presents. I got everything I wanted, including two happy kids, a happy husband and a morning spent with family. Oh, and a new iPod and a crockpot. Woohoo!
I hope your day is filled with very merries and the happiest of happies. Right now we’re still eating chocolates and playing with new toys. Later, my dad’s brothers are coming over for merry making.
(PS. The post title? That’s a very good thing to hear from your 5-year-old in the middle of the gift-opening.)
