What’s possibly most striking about this article is the way it refers to everyone as Mr. Suchandsuch. Weird. I mean, nice, but weird for a newspaper, right?
It isn’t unheard of, but I think it’s probably pretty uncommon because so many papers use the AP standards for their styleguides. The WSJ is a bit stodgy in some ways. In this particular aspect, I kind of like the stodginess.
