Two dollars and a Casio
In a little while I’m going to peel and cook sweet potatoes while watching “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” because it is The Finest Thanksgiving Film. “Pieces of April” is also good but is neither available on Netflix nor as an Amazon Prime selection. I think we have a copy, but I don’t have a TV in the kitchen so the sweet potatoes and I can’t watch it. “Grumpy Old Men,” however, is available on Amazon Prime. I might watch it tomorrow with the spinach.
Allons-y, patate douces!
A Thanksgiving week menu plan
- Monday: ????
- I’m positive I had a plan for today, but I can’t remember what it was. So I’m not sure what we’ll be having this evening!
- Tuesday: Pizza
- I’m doing a lot of cooking this week, so I’m outsourcing this one.
- Wednesday: Chili
- I’ll start this in the Crockpot in the morning so our Thanksgiving visitors will have something to eat when they arrive.
- Thursday: Thanksgiving dinner
- Turkey! Stuffing! Sweet potato casserole! Mashed potatoes! Gravy! All the foods!
- Friday: Leftovers
- I thought about doing a turkey pot pie or turkey soup or something, but who am I kidding? I’m not going to repurpose anything. It’ll be a fend-for-yourself leftovers buffet.
